A little bit about Red/Blue pencils
The basic principle is to sketch in some color other than black. Once an artist is happy with a rough layout (done in blue or red), he/she will add cleaned-up lines in black on top of it. By adjusting color channels in Photoshop or Illustrator.
The artist can easily get rid of the original sketchiness (done in blue or red) leaving them with only the cleaned-up black lines of the pen.
Pencil Warm Up
As shown in the video do the following with these things in mind.
NO ERASING, NEATNESS COUNTS, DRAW WITH A FIRM STROKE, NO PALE LINES,
EVENLY SPACE OUT YOUR DRAWINGS SO THAT NONE TOUCH OR OVERLAP.
*On 1 page in your sketchbook draw 5 lines pulling the pencil and 5 lines pushing the pencil.
*On 1 page in your sketchbook draw 3 rows of circles with 5 circles in each. As you do, start the circle at the back end of the loop and pull the pencil toward you. The circles should be about the size of a quarter. This will take up half of the page. Once this is done you will draw 3 more rows of circles with 5 circles in each. As you do, start the circle at the front end of the loop and push the pencil away from you. The circles should also be about the size of a quarter. This will take up the other half of the page.
